Get ready for fun-filled school holidays! We offer free, action-packed holiday clubs for children and young people aged 4–16 across Derbyshire — all fully funded and bursting with activities! Funded by the Department for Education, It’s About Me holiday clubs are designed for children who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals and are delivered in partnership with Derbyshire County Council and local activities providers. In partnership with adults, young people take part in fun indoor and outdoor activities. They learn by doing, by sharing in spiritual reflection and by taking responsibility. They make choices, undertake new and challenging activities, and they live their Scout Promise.

This course is for families who live in Sandiacre and surrounding areas in Derbyshire. Join this free, Family Fun session in Sandiacre Library. Listen to some spooky stories, make monster badges and bookmarks to take home. Grown ups must stay with their children during the session.
Our First Aid for parents and carers course is a friendly, practical session designed to give you the confidence and skills to respond calmly in a child emergency. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, or caring for little ones in any capacity, you'll learn life-saving techniques in a relaxed, supportive environment, no prior experience needed. Through hands-on activities and real-life scenarios, we cover essential topics such as choking, CPR, burns, bleeding, and common childhood illnesses. You'll leave feeling reassured, empowered, and better prepared to keep children safe, because when it matters most, confidence can make all the difference.
Home-Start Erewash offers support to local parents facing a difficult time. Families in Erewash struggling with post-natal illness, isolation, physical health problems, bereavement and many other issues could receive bespoke support, friendship and guidance from a volunteer who will spend around two hours a week in a family’s home supporting them in the ways they need. Parents may choose to come along to one of our weekly Connection Cafes in Ilkeston or Long Eaton and meet other families. Parents with babies and young children might like to attend our Nest group; a supportive six-week programme designed to promote Perinatal and Infant Mental Health (PIMH) for parents and carers with children aged 0–2 years. In addition, Home-Start Erewash support children and their families to get ready for school. Through evidence-backed, fun activity-focused group sessions, we help children to develop the vital skills they need to successfully transition into formal education. From games to practice key skills like sitting and listening, to really practical stuff like how to hold a pencil or use a pair of scissors - Sunflowers is making a big difference to local families. This is a 6-week program which takes place at least 4 times a year .
